Oriental Insurance Recruitment 2012 Admin Officer (AO) positions Notification, Eligibility and Form


Oriental Insurance Company Ltd (OICL) has just twoew days back issued notification for recruitment of 477 Admin Officer (AO) positions. While for the specialization positions “Legal” & “Librarian”, you need to have 3 years experience, for others, even freshers can apply. Online form submission starts on 28th January and the last date to apply is 13th February, 2012.


This blog post is being made to highlight the salient points of the notification – e.g. eligibility required and the forms, to help you apply for the same. In a subsequent blog post titled: Oriental Insurance Admin Officer Exam Pattern, Papers & Books I would present you the prep materials to prepare for this exam.

Admin Officer Vacancies in Oriental Insurance: 
There are a total of 477 admin officer vacancies with category-wise breakup as below:
SC: 69, ST: 35, OBC: 141; GEN: 232

Salary for Oriental Insurance Admin Officer:
Oriental Insurance offers the Admin Officers Basic pay of Rs. 17,240/=, in the pay-scale of Rs. 17,240-840 (14)-29000-910 (4)- 32640/=. With this pay scale, salary for admin officer positions in Oriental Insurance per month is Rs. 30,000/= approx.

Oriental Insurance Eligibility for Admin Officer:
Age Eligibility: (as on 01.01.2012)
Min: 21 years, Max: 30 years. Age relaxations exist as per Govt. rule.

Academic Eligibility:
The 477 vacant positions have been categorized into nine groups: Actuaries, Marketing, HR, IT, Accounts, Legal, Engineers, Librarian & Generalists. You need to have 60% in graduation or 55% in PG in your area of specialization - for SC/ST, there is a rebate of 5% marks.

Qualifications should be from any recognised University / Institute duly approved by UGC / AICTE as the case may be.

Selection Process for Admin Officers in Oriental Insurance:

Start date for online application: 28.01.2012

Last date for online application: 13.02.2011
Date of written examination: 08.04.2012.

Call letter for the written exam of Oriental Insurance would not be sent to you but you have to download the same from this website.

  1. In today's time we can not even rely on the well reputed companies like "Oriental Insurance" etc.
    Me and all my family members have there mediclaim policies since 10 year and above, but till date I am not at all satisfied with any of there services because of their Incompetent agents and service providers.

    I had already faced a big problem in the past with this company when we waited extremely long for the repayment of hospital bills & the refund of the left over policy amount of my dad's policy after he passed away in 2006,we ran every where but no one paid any attention to our problem, then we requested consumer court to file our case against the company etc. it took lot of time more then 1.5 years for solving the problem with the help of top company officers, who were very understanding and really helpful to us, I am still thankful to all who understood us and helped us.

    Today I felt forced to write this mail coz of Mr. A.K CHOUDHARY's continues Irresponsible behavior and also filed a case in consumer court http://www.consumercourt.in/medical-insurance/1093-mediclaim-policy-oriental-insurance.html , from last many year (almost 3-4 years) every time he came for the renewal of the policy, always took our photos for the cashless cards etc but always misplace it and never send the cashless card ever on time, sometimes cards comes after 5-6 months but along with the time the delay time was not reduced rather was becoming worse, all the times we submitted the photos twice or even thrice but this time from last almost 8-9 months we haven’t received our cashless card as yet, even they delay in sending the complete policy papers many times.

    We as an old and loyal customers never said anything from so long time but now this is the height of irresponsibility on company's part.

    Now i am no more interested to continue my policy, rather this time I’ll close it down with this company once and for all.
