Applications are invited by Eastern Region of Staff Selection Commission (SSC ER) from Competent Indian Nationals to fill the vacancies of Technician, Library Clerk, Technical Officer, Preservation Assistant and Sub Editor (Bengali). In regard of purposed vacancy candidates can send their applications by 27th February 2012 after ensuring eligibility. On the basis of regular tenure candidates will be appointed. No. of Vacancies: – 06 (UR)
Out of 06 vacancies 05 are for General specification of Library Clerk and remaining 01 is for Reprography specialization
Age Limit: – As on 27th February candidates age should be not less than 18 years and not above to 25 years
Age Relaxation: – Relaxation in upper age will be applicable by 05 years for SC/ST, 03 years for OBC, 10 years for PH
Educational Qualification: - 10th passed with certificates in Library Science from recognized institution. Certificate in Photography is also required for Library Clerk Reprography.
Scale of Pay: – Rs. 5200-20200/- with Grade pay Rs. 1900/-
2. Technician
No. of Vacancies: – 02 (UR)
Age Limit: – Minimum 18 years and Maximum 27 years (age would be reckoned as on 27.02.2012). However, upper age of candidates will be relaxed by same way as shown above.
Educational Qualification: – Bachelor of Science in Microbiology or Biology
Scale of Pay: – Rs. 5200-20200/- with Grade Pay Rs. 2400/-
3. Sub Editor (Bengali)
No. of Vacancies: - 01 (UR)
Age Limit: – Should be between 18-25 years of age (age will be counted as on 14.02.2012)
Age Relaxation: – The same way upper age relaxation would be admissible for candidates of reserved category.
Educational Qualification: – B.Lis or M. Lis
Experience: - 02 years
Scale of Pay: – Rs. 5500-9000/- (pre revised )
4. Preservation Assistant
No. of Vacancies: – 01 (ST)
Age Limit: – As on 27.02.2012 candidates age should not exceed 26 years
Educational Qualification: – B.Sc with Botany
Scale of pay: – Rs. 5200-20200/- with Grade pay Rs. 2800/-
5. Technical Officer
No. of Vacancies: – 03 (UR-02, SC-01)
Age Limit: – Candidates age should not be below 18 years and not exceed 25 years; while age will be counted as on 27th February 2012.
Educational Qualification: – 12th passed with Zoology / Botany / Agriculture
Pay Scale: – Rs. 5200-20200/- with Grade pay Rs. 2000/-
Selection Process: – On the basis of Skill Test / Personality Test / Interview selection will be made
Exam Fee: – Rs. 50/- in shape of CRFS
Fee Exemption: – Candidates belonging to SC/ST/PH/Ex-Servicemen and Women are not required to pay exam fee
Enclosures: - Marks Sheet (on wards 10th), Age Proof, Caste, Domicile, Experience (if any), Degree
How to apply: – Candidates eligible as well as interested can apply against purposed vacancy in prescribed format up to 27th February 2012. Duly filled applications along with attested copies shown enclosures are needed to enclose each other. At allotted space of application form a recent passport size photo should be affixed.
